Thoughts on Scotch / Whiskey
Those of you that know me know that FoodieJD loves Scotch. People say that you become your parents. Well, my love of Scotch is sort of in opposition to my parents. My parents like to consider themselves wine connoisseurs (let’s call them WhinieMDs…), and I wanted to know about something they didn’t know about… And then, FoodieJd found Scotch! I have since expanded to Bourbon and other Whiskeys.
Posted in the Scotches & Whiskeys Category areĀ brief thoughts and notes on some of the Scotches and Whiskey’s that I have tried, along with basic grades for each. For a quick guide, look at the Quick Reference List!
*If there are any Scotches or other Whiskeys that you think are worth trying, write them in the comments and I’ll try to do so as soon as my wallet allows…
*Note: Prices are not included because they vary greatly. For Example: I’ve heard Laphroaig 18 can cost up to $160, but I got it for $58 in Pennsylvania…

Great reviews …I’ll taste these now. I’ve not had the chance to have either of these three so it should be interesting. I agree with you about the Laphroaig …not meant for those that love a sweet touch to their scotch. Also, I have had the Talisker 18 yr ….I’d be curious to know what you think of it especially compared to the Lagavulin.
